I know, I know!~ I’ve been posting every single week, and then BAM! 2 Sunday’s (almost, I’m getting in by the skin of my teeth here, and there’s no real review) with no post. Last weekend, I was so sick it should not have counted as a day off. And today, well today was…
Which translates into “You get to figure out why your momma was so crabby at the holidays”. Thanksgiving dinner is done, delighfully, by both my mother in law and my brothers family. We have started attending 2 thanksgivings to make sure everyone gets a visit. Christmas we just nibble and peck. New Years, we have something nice, but nothing like…
THE EASTER HAM
And oh what a ham it was! If you have sweet oranges available, I highly reccommend taking 2 of them and using them to your ham’s benefit. 1 liter of 7-up or Sprite, a bunch of brown suger, 1 orange halved (the jusices squeezed over the ham) and the other sliced and tacked to the ham….. Ohhh… So Yummy!
And because we have some non-pork eaters, we also had Chicken 🙂 It may have been yummy, but I didn’t taste it 😀
OK: Book related Item…. BETTY CROCKER, I THINK I LOVE YOU. Has a bag of sour dough bread slices. No stuffing mix… Looked it up and lickety split we had Stuffing! YAY! Also use it for just about anyting. The only thing I’ve never found in it is the pumpkin cookies that are like a quick bread. BC is a classic, but there’s a reason why it is. I always have to flip back to How to Make Sour Milk every time (almost) that I bake. (it’s milk and vinegar but I can never remember how much).
Yay! I even got something book related in here.
Hopefully by next week I’ll be in full form again. Maybe sooner. Am reading “Emily and Einstein” right now. I’m half way through and I started today so it must be good. But I’ll let you know for sure later in the week.
Happy Easter again!
